ตลาดหุ้นนิวยอร์กได้รับแรงหนุนจากข้อมูลภาคการผลิตของสหรัฐ โดย ISM รายงานว่า ดัชนีผู้จัดการฝ่ายจัดซื้อ (PMI) ภาคการผลิตเดือนพ.ค.ของสหรัฐปรับตัวเพิ่มขึ้นสู่ระดับ 52.8 จากเดือนเม.ย.ที่ระดับ 51.5 ซึ่งเพิ่มขึ้นมากกว่าที่นักวิเคราะห์คาดการณ์ไว้ นอกจากนี้ ทางการสหรัฐเปิดเผยว่า ตัวเลขการใช้จ่ายด้านการก่อสร้างเดือนเม.ย.ขยายตัว 2.2% ซึ่งสูงกว่าที่นักวิเคราะห์คาดว่าจะเพิ่มขึ้นเพียง 0.7%
