People had expected before that the packaging unit would fuel The Siam Cement Public Company Limited (SCC)’s profit but  when the operating performance in 3Q came out, the profit jumped 72% YoY to 7,202 million baht. Petrochemical unit that once was expected to be at risk of underforming, it turned out that the sales volume has increased 80% to 5,488 million baht, and the cement-building materials’ sales volume skyrocketed 176%.

อีกทั้งการเจรจากับกรุงเทพมหานครโดยตรง เพื่อยุติคดีข้อพิพาทที่อยู่ในศาลปกครองกลางเกี่ยวกับการยกเลิกสัญญากับกรุงเทพมหานคร จำนวน 2 โครงการนั้น ก็มีแนวโน้มที่ดีซึ่งหากได้ข้อสรุปและมีข้อยุติจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการประกอบการ และส่งผลดีต่อบริษัท แต่ขณะนี้ยังไม่มีพัฒนาการ หรือมีนัยสำคัญต่อการดำเนินงานของบริษัทแต่อย่างใดหากการเจรจาไม่เป็นผลสำเร็จ คดีข้อพิพาทก็จะดำเนินไปตามขั้นตอนของศาลปกครองต่อไปเนื่องจากศาลปกครองกลางได้ประทับรับคำฟ้องไปแล้ว
