นอกจากนี้ บริษัทยังคาดหวังว่าจะได้นำเข้าก๊าซธรรมชาติเหลว (LNG) ราว 2.5 แสนตัน ในช่วงปี 63-64 หลังจากที่ได้รับอนุมัติจากคณะกรรมการกำกับกิจการพลังงาน (กกพ.) แล้วในเบื้องต้น แต่ยังต้องรอคณะกรรมการบริหารนโยบายพลังงาน (กบง.) สรุปอีกครั้งหนึ่งก่อนจะมีการนำเข้าจริง โดยการจัดหา LNG เพื่อมาเป็นเชื้อเพลิงการผลิตไฟฟ้านั้นจะทำให้บริษัทมีต้นทุนการผลิตไฟฟ้าต่ำลงจากปัจจุบันซื้อก๊าซธรรมชาติจาก บมจ.ปตท. (PTT) โดยต้นทุนก๊าซฯที่ลดลงทุก 1 บาท/ล้านบีทียู จะทำให้กำไรเพิ่มขึ้นราว 15-16 ล้านบาท/ปี
