โดยหลักมาจากกำไรในธุรกิจปิโตรเคมีสายโอเลฟินส์ที่ดีช่วยหนุน (Spread HDPE และ PP เพิ่มขึ้น 17-18%ไตรมาสก่อนหน้า) แม้ว่ารายได้ของกลุ่มจะเพิ่มเพียง 9.5% รวมทั้งมีกำไรจากสต็อก 970 ล้านบาทด้วย กำไรของปิโตรเคมีคิดเป็น 66% ของกลุ่มในไตรมาส 2/58สำหรับธุรกิจซีเมนต์และวัสดุก่อสร้าง รายได้ลดลง 2%เทียบช่วงเดียวกันของปีก่อน และ 3%ไตรมาสก่อนหน้า เพราะอุปสงค์อ่อนแอ แต่การใช้ซีเมนต์ของโครงการภาครัฐถือว่ายังไปได้ดี ส่วนธุรกิจบรรจุภัณฑ์ยังคงอ่อนแอ โดยรายได้และมาร์จิ้นลดลง บริษัทประกาศจ่ายปันผลระหว่างกาล 7.50 บาท/หุ้น คิดเป็นอัตราการจ่ายปันผล 36%

According to EA’s investment plan in a 50GWh lithium-ion battery factory, the investment plan comprises 2 phases. Phase I, for the production capacity at 1 GWh/year, currently, the construction for foundation and building has started, after that the machines will be installed and started commissioning which will take approximately 2 months. It is expected that the Phase I real production will be started by the end of 2020 then the investment for the next Phase will follow accordingly to complete the full full scale as planned.
