3.โครงการพัฒนาสนามบินอู่ตะเภาและเมืองการบินภาคตะวันออก ลงนามสัญญาร่วมลงทุนกับภาคเอกชนเมื่อ 19 มิ.ย.2563 ถือเป็นหนึ่งในโครงการลงทุนโครงสร้างพื้นฐานหลักของอีอีซี เพื่อยกระดับสนามบินอู่ตะเภาเป็น สนามบินนานาชาติเชิงพาณิชย์หลักแห่งที่ 3 ของกรุงเทพ เชื่อมสนามบินดอนเมือง และสนามบินสุวรรณภูมิด้วยรถไฟความเร็วสูง ทำให้ 3 สนามบิน สามารถรองรับผู้โดยสารรวมกันได้มากถึง 200 ล้านคนต่อปี เป็นศูนย์กลางอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยว และ Logistics Aviation รวมทั้งเป็น มหานครการบินภาคตะวันออก ที่จะผลักดันให้ประเทศไทยเป็นศูนย์กลางทางการบินและประตูเศรษฐกิจสู่เอเชีย
