พล.อ.ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรีและหัวหน้าคณะรักษาความสงบแห่งชาติ (คสช.) กล่าวว่า การลงทุนโครงสร้างพื้นฐานเป็นการใช้งบประมาณจำนวนมาก เพราะฉะนั้นการเร่งรัดจัดตั้งกองทุนโครงสร้างพื้นฐานจะช่วยแบ่งเบาภาระค่าใช้จ่ายในการลงทุนของรัฐบาล ทั้งนี้ จะต้องมีผลตอบแทนที่น่าจูงใจอย่างเหมาะสมให้กับกองทุนดังกล่าว เพื่อดึงดูดให้เกิดการลงทุน และกองทุนจะต้องดำเนินการอย่างโปร่งใสเป็นไปตามกฎหมาย ไม่ได้เอื้อประโยชน์ให้กลุ่มใดกลุ่มหนึ่ง

นายภาสิต ลี้สกุล ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัททีอาร์ซี คอนสตรัคชั่น จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ TRC เปิดเผยว่า บริษัทคาดว่ารายได้ปี 60 จะเติบโตอย่างมากแตะระดับ 1 หมื่นล้านบาท จากปีนี้ที่คาดว่าจะมีรายได้ประมาณ 4.2 พันล้านบาท ซึ่งต่ำกว่าเป้าหมายที่คาดไว้เติบโต 20% จาก 3.9 พันล้านบาทในปีก่อน หลังในปีนี้แทบไม่มีงานใหม่เข้ามา โดยสามารถรับงานใหม่ได้เพียง 800 ล้านบาท ขณะที่คาดว่ากำไรสุทธิปีนี้จะทำได้ใกล้เคียงระดับ 306 ล้านบาทในปีก่อน
