นายฤทธิกา สุภารัตน์ รองผู้ว่าด้านบริหาร ในฐานะรักษาการผู้ว่าการ การรถไฟฟ้าขนส่งมวลชนแห่งประเทศไทย (รฟม.) เปิดเผยว่า ที่ประชุมคณะกรรมการ (บอร์ด) รฟม. ที่มีพลเอกยอดยุทธ บุญญาธิการ เป็นประธาน ได้รับรายงานว่า รถไฟฟ้าสายสีม่วงใต้ ช่วงเตาปูน-ราษฎร์บูรณะ ระยะทาง 23.6 กิโลเมตร วงเงิน 1.31 แสนล้านบาท ซึ่งครม.เห็นชอบแล้วอยู่ระหว่างร่างทีโออาร์ประมูลและพิจารณาแบ่งสัญญาก่อสร้าง ตามกายภาพและมูลค่าแต่ละสัญญา คาดว่าจะเปิดประมูลได้ธ.ค. 60 และเริ่มก่อสร้างธ.ค. 61

ผลการดำเนินงานโรงไฟฟ้าของบริษัทยังคงดีเหนือการคาดการณ์ของทริสเรทติ้ง ในช่วงครึ่งแรกของปี 2562 ปริมาณไฟฟ้าที่จำหน่ายเพิ่มขึ้นเป็น 200.6 กิกะวัตต์ชั่วโมงจาก 102.2 กิกะวัตต์ชั่วโมงในช่วงเวลาเดียวกันของปีก่อนหน้า คิดเป็นเพิ่มขึ้นถึง 96.2% การเติบโตที่รวดเร็วนั้นมาจากปริมาณไฟฟ้าที่เพิ่มขึ้นจากโครงการใหม่ 2 แห่งคือโรงไฟฟ้าชีวมวลภายใต้การดำเนินงานของ Oscar Save The World Co., Ltd. (OSW) และโรงไฟฟ้าพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ฮานามิซุกิ (Hanamizuki) ในประเทศญี่ปุ่น
